For those who are in Christ, everything works to the good, even those things that may seem to be destructive and damaging. We are invited to carry the Cross with Jesus, and it is also through the difficulties and troubles of this life that we share our lives in Christ. It takes courage and faith to thank God for all that happens to us. But in everything there is a purpose. Let us try to give thanks to God for whatever happens in our lives. It is in giving thanks that we shall find the strength to endure the trials that we have and we shall find a peace within, which will give us the ability to endure.

"Father, may I give you thanks for all that happens to me today. No matter whether it seems good or bad, may I turn it to good purpose and recognise your presence in my life."
